Almost bought a flooded Maserati Ghibli – so glad I got an inspection first

I was this close to handing over 75k for a 2017 Ghibli that looked absolutely stunning in the photos and even seemed clean in person during a quick walkaround. The seller had a smooth story about it being a weekend car and all highway miles. But something felt off when I noticed the carpet in the trunk had a weird texture, so I decided to pay for a proper Dubai Maserati Car Inspection before making a huge mistake. The inspector found evidence of water damage in the wiring harness, rust on some seat bolts that shouldn't be there, and even logged a bunch of stored electrical faults that the seller had clearly cleared right before the test drive. I walked away and saved myself a nightmare of electrical gremlins and resale headaches. If you're looking at a used Italian car here, don't trust your eyes or the seller's words – get a professional to crawl under it and scan the computers. Best few hundred dirhams I ever spent.
