Got a 2017 740Li and lately I've noticed the steering just doesn't feel right. There's a slight vagueness on center when I'm on the highway, plus this low creaking sound whenever I'm maneuvering into a tight parking spot. I thought maybe it was just low power steering fluid but apparently the electric racks don't even use fluid the same way. A couple of people mentioned it could be the steering rack bushings or maybe even the column joint wearing out. Before I go somewhere random and get overcharged for parts I might not need, I'm trying to find
Certified Steering Repair Abu Dhabi shops that actually diagnose the problem properly instead of just throwing a whole rack at it. Has anyone dealt with something similar on the G11 or G12 platforms? Really hoping it's not a massive bill but I also don't want to leave it until something fails completely while driving.
